Nursery rhymes and nightmares? What are our children telling us.

It saddens me to see the unfortunate increase we are witnessing of parents seeking help for their children’s skin condition. Particularly where their infant has received multiple rounds of conventional treatment. Often the treatment increased in strength in the hopes of stopping the issue which by now has with just a small temporary improvement, to no betterment, or in fact worsening symptoms for which they are meant to address.

Redness, rashes, hives, blisters, dryness, burning, itching, crawling are just a few of the symptoms we may see and experience. Allergic reactions also produce sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, wheezing, coughs, red, itchy or watery eyes, restlessness. Sleeping too much or too little and noticeable changes in your little one’s mood and general demeanour. Some little souls absolutely inconsolable.

It always make me intestinally happy however whenever someone asks the question whether I believe Homeopathy may be able to help. Why? because this signifies that they have already realised that they have a choice. Recognizing choice, means our awareness of alternative ways of dealing with thing comes into our consciousness. I have never been so proud to assist others on their journey’s than I am recently, with so many parents now approaching homeopath’s seeking an alternative, a choice.

The relationship between our gut health and condition of our skin is not a new one. However, for many the impact on the gut of medication and skin is not as well recognised. Our small ones are incredibly robust but also during their early years we can forget their fragility and the enormous amount of stimulus to which they are being exposed amongst them foods, fabrics, medications, and environmental factors. Our bodies have an amazing ability to produce its own healing response however when this becomes overwhelmed and we sustain an increase on systemic inflammation, we become over sensitized instead of resilient and our bodies are clever in alerting us to this fact in the form of a narrative from the skin. If we do not listen, the narrative is repeated, perhaps exaggerated a little and continues to be so until we listen to the message.

Homeopathy has no preconception of an individual situation. We hold no assumptions or judgements; we will listen to understand perhaps what has led to their experience of the world today. When we have a full story our aim as homeopath is to find a remedy which when our body recognises the match will create its own stimulus to heal from within. Homeopathy is safe and provides a gentle action that can be used no matter what your age, adult child, infants and is even safe for new-borns if needed.

Below an example of some remedies from a recent case.
